Thymic polypeptide bioregulator (calf-thymus extract)
A complex of low-molecular-weight polypeptides extracted from calf thymus, studied as a thymic immunomodulator; its short peptides (e.g. Glu-Trp) are proposed to influence T-cell differentiation and gene expression in preclinical models.
Most evidence comes from Russian clinical and gerontology research; independent large-scale replication is lacking. Not an approved drug in the US/EU.
